Rock in the summer with Shaky Ground at the annual “Raise the Roof” Strawberry Dance on Saturday, June 11, at the Saanich Fairground (1528 Stelly’s Cross Road) from 7:30 p.m. to 12 midnight. The annual dance, a farm tradition celebrating the June Strawberry season, has been held since the 1930s in Brentwood Bay. This year the dance moves just down the road to a larger venue at the historic Saanich Fairground. Put the fun in fundraising! Dance the night away and help raise new barn roofs at the Saanich Fairground and a permanent stage for the Music in the Park in Pioneer Park. Silent auction and other fundraising activities, seasonal strawberry beverages and strawberry shortcake too! Tickets $15 single or $25 a couple.
