The Saanichton Village Association (SVA) hosts a community conversation on the second Wednesday of every month at Spelt’s Coffee Shop in Saanichton, from 7–8:30pm. The April 9 meeting topic is SOCS! – “Save our Central Saanich”. On the same night in Sidney there is an SOS “Save our Sidney” meeting at Mary Winspear. Sure it’s important to support Sidney but not at the expense of our commercial centres and local cultural activities in Central Saanich. We believe it’s important to work together and promote our commercial centres of Saanichton, Brentwood Bay and Keating. Peninsula is not spelled S-I-D-N-E-Y!
