The Saanich Peninsula Strawberries and Wine festival day closes on Saturday night , June 21, with the “Strawberry Boogie Woogie Revival” dance with Shaky Ground at the Brentwood Bay Community Hall, a rebirth of the community strawberry dances that began 1934. Tickets are $12 each and are on sale at Breadstuffs Bakery in Brentwood Bay and Fresh Cup Roastery Cafe in Saanichton (advanced ticket sales only please). Enjoy a giant strawberry shortcake too! Net proceeds from the dance will go to support the popular outdoor music series Music in the Park, held on Wednesday evenings in Pioneer Park during July and August.
