Our garden projects are moving forward. The Patterson corner is now three years old and is maturing and looking good. Thanks to garden helpers Michelle Campbell, Grace Frampton, Veronica Boyd and Dean Atkin. The project on Mt. Newton and East Saanich is moving ahead. Two generous donations from members have allowed us to hire a gardener, Nathan Bengay, to do the hard work. We have welcomed donations of drought resistant plants from local gardeners. Hopefully this will eliminate the need for watering. Thanks to Jamie Day from the Prairie Inn for his donation of flag stones for our walkway between sidewalks. If anyone else is interested in helping with the garden work, please let Jan know.
